Edward Elric x Reader Part 4 REVISED

" Um, hi there. We've been looking for you all morning." The short blonde said to you, making eye contact with him sent electricity jolts up your body. Not being too crazy on the feeling you instantly looked back up to the metal giant.
"Sorry for cutting you boys off short, but I need to go somewhere. Unless you two are in a life or death situation, you can tell me whenever we run into eachother again." You informed said with a fake smile, as you brushed past the boys.

Two steps away and you felt a metal hand wrap around your wris,
"Hang on for just a sec." The blonde said, 
"Hm?" You hummed as you turned around to face him again " Is there something dire going on?" Irritation laced in with your voice and face. The blonde took notice of this, instantly letting go of your wrist when he realized he held onto it for a little too long.

He stepped back, shoving his hands down on his pockets, he found you really unnerving,
"Are you (Name) Mustang?"  Your dark/light brows shoot up,
"Yes, I'm Major Mustang, like it says on my fucking tag. Why do you ask?"  Your (Color) eyes glinted as you began to sass the strange teen, unknowingly sending slight shivers down his spine. Just by glancing at you, he knew you were the cold type, maybe a little charm could work?
*'Maybe I can soften her tone a bit?"* The young alchemist  thought as he looked at you with a cheeky grin. 

His face fell when Alphsonse did the questioning for him.
"Lieutenant Hawkeye wanted to talk to you." The metal suit plainly stated, looking down at you. The soft and almost childlike voice he had was not how you expected him to sound. Edward's eyebrow twitched in annoyance,
"Damnit Al I was about to say that!"Al sighed ,
"I'm sorry but you were taking forever" 

Tuning out their bickering a thought came across your mind,
'Ah, looks a lot like brotherly love.'You then grimanced at the thought of your own brother. Gritting your teeth, you dripped onto the state alchemist watch tightly
"Just you wait Roy, I'll show you that I'm strong enough to fight back. I'll be able to protect the people and serve my country just like any good soldier should. Even if you hate me, I know mom and dad would be proud, Aunt Chris too."*

Once reality snapped back in, you quickly got sick of their fighting and whistled rather loudly at the duo. The boys' instantly stopped to and looked at you. 
"Listen, like I said earlier, I have somewhere to be. Tell Riza I'll be at her apartment around seven." You said with a genuine smile, something about these two practical brothers just made you happy or just highly amused.

They seemed like a funny duo, especially the short and fleshy one. The other one, in the metal suit seemed like a kindred spirit, literally.
"Bye boys." You said as you hustled back to your temporary office without disturbance, not forgetting to wave before leaving their line of sight.. The boys looked dumbfounded as they watched you leave,
"O...okay then" Edward said, waving back at you rather weakly along with Alphsonse.

7 pm

Huffing you hugged your (f/c) jacket closer, wishing it could be turned into a second skin of sorts. It was already dark outside which wasn't so unusual in the winter seasonband.  Soft laughter escaped as you witnessed that first snow flake fall before more followed, covering all of the streets across central.

Memories of you and Roy having snowball fights, making snowmen and snow angels. Funny isn't it? Two flame alchemist playing with snow until they couldn't feel their fingers and toes anymore.  You sighed as you continued to walk through the now snow covered terrain, it was hard to stay mad at Roy, he was pretty much your only friend growing up. He was literal the only person who didn't call you a freak like other kids your age did after your accident.

In all honesty, you always thought the automail looked badass, hell, you still do. Of course, your very creeped out peers didn't agree and casted you out. This caused you to become unsociable and distant from the other kids, everything went downhill from there, Roy enlisted in the military. Your only friend left you alone for years, only sending the occasional letter on holidays.

He came back of course, but something was different about him, you saw it in his eyes. You knew those eyes, those of a killer. That was when the fighting between you and him started. You could no longer view him as a human being, brother or not, he was a cold hearted killer.

Shaking away the thoughts of Roy, you stopped in front of the apartment building, quickly rushing in and climbing up the stairs to Riza's room.
"Riza~?" You called out, giving the wooden door a few solid knocks. When it opened you were instantly tackled by an unknown assailant, they began attacking you with slobbery kisses. You laughed softly and patted the dog's head,
"Hi there boy."
"Black Hayate, off." Riza commanded and the dog jumped off of you obediently, quickly returning to his master's side.

The blonde pulled you back up to your feet,
"You hurt him" She stated, while you brushed yourself off.
"I'm not going to apologize." You stated, crossing your arms. She sighed, opening the door a bit wider for you to come in,
"Come on, let's talk about this, inside."  You nodded and followed her in,  closing the door behind you.
"I never said you had to apologize" Riza said as she sat at a round table across from you.
"Then why did you want me to come over here then?"
"Simple, I just wanted to talk to you."
