Edward Elric x Reader Part 5 (REVISED)

"Simple I just wanted to talk." Riza sat down at the table, gesturing for you to do the same, sliding a very tempting hot cup of tea in your direction. You caved in and made yourself comfortable rather quickly.

A certain Shiba Inu trotted your way and took a seat beside you, while you began to scratch behind his ear, you asked,
"Talk about what exactly?" Riza closed her brown eyes, taking in a long sip of tea before placing the cup back on the table.
"Wary as usual (Name), relax, I just want to have a casual conversation with you, is that  too much to ask?" she inquired, raising a blonde brow, you sighed in defeat scratching the back of your head.

"No... not really." You said almost sheepishly letting a sigh escape your lips, Riza gave a faint smile. 
"Good to hear, now then, how have you been? Casting aside the fight with the Colonel." she asked, folding her hands together on the table.

"Fine, I gue-" You stopped in mid sentence to take in a sharp breath the moment you remembered the encounter with Bradley you shook your head back and forth.
" I'm doing just fine." you answered, lying through your teeth, Riza chuckled a little, seeing right through you.  Raising a brow, you were about to ask what was so damn funny, but she said,
"You're a terrible liar, you know that?" she asked in between her fits of chuckles.

Riza could read you like a book, she always was able to do so though you showed annoyance with her, it actually didn't bug you one bit. It was nice to have someone who understood you without complications, 
"Yes, I'm aware of that" you say, blandly. However, you suddenly stopped petting Black Hayate who gave out a whine to show  his displeasure. You suddenly grew serious and bit your lip, Riza rose a brow, long over her fit of chuckles, 
"Did something else happen?" she asked, you nodded.

*~Unknown Location~*

"So she finally made it to Central now did she?" Envy asked raising a brow at no other than Bradley.
"That's right, she's seems a bigger threat than before. Perhaps as much as those Elric brothers." He confessed, Envy instantly grew annoyed and showcased it in his twisted expression,
"Huh? If she's a threat then why the hell did you station her here?"

"Simple, I want to be rid of her as soon as possible. It would save me the trouble to go all the way to Eastern quarters." he explained in a nonchalant manner, the green haired homoculus scoffed at this and rolled his eyes,
"She sounds more trouble than she's worth, kill her and do it quickly. We can't afford anymore loses with Lust gone." he said with an scowl. 

"She's smart, it would be troublesome if she caught on to us." Pride added in with a displeased expression,
"We wouldn't want her to gain Father's attention and she would be considered as a valuable sacrifice now can we?"  

"No we wouldn't. Worry not, she will be dealt with in due time" 

*~Morning~*

The sun rays of the early morning sun pierced through your eyelids without mercy, groaning in annoyance to the rude awakening, you covered your (color) eyes with your arm, trying to let the sandman enter your conscious again.

Last night, you told Riza everything about your encounter with Bradley, how you felt sick to your stomach just by looking at him. The way you instinctively wanted to shoot him when he made the slightest twitch. She said, you certainly have a good hunch about him, just don't get too involved; you would be in deep water if you did. You didn't need to be told that twice, having to deal with enough problems as it is.

Groggily, you threw the comforter asider and swung your legs over the bed, yawning rather loudly. Glaring at the time, which was way too early for your liking you slowly got ready for the day.

_
*Still an hour and a half until my shift starts. Good time considering that I've been dragging my ass all day.* You mentally noted when you checked the time on your watch.

You should make a quick pit stop to the hospital, constantly reminding yourself  that your were only going there for Jean and defiantly *not* for Roy.
You aimlessly walked towards the hospital and made it to the main entrance in no time. Opening the doors that were heavy enough to hold back an entire legion, you leisurely made your way to the front desk, a woman, perhaps in her mid-40's was tending to it. But she paid you no mind when you walked up there, she was on the phone, talking to someone, loudly must I add. 

You rested your arms on the desk and looked at her, 
"What room is Jean--" you stopped, the bitch was ignoring you! She just sat there, on the phone picking at her poor excuse for nails, and good God that mole on her face. You swore it winked at you. 

*"Excuse me."* you said, in a obviously irritated manner. She glanced at you and waved you off like a dog, the corners of your mouth twitched upwards to fight back an angry grin. In a fast motion, you snatched the phone that was between her ear and shoulder and hung it up, her eyes widened in surprise but that was quickly replaced with a glare.
"Well now since you had ended your conversation with whoever, can you tell me where Jean Havoc is?" You said in a cheery voice, so cheery is was damn near terrifying. 

"What are you his broad or something?" she asked,
"No just a friend" you stated. 
"Room 321" She said with a roll of her eyes, you looked at her name tag on her navy blue dress shirt. *"Secretary Marianne Hitch"* it said, 
"Very well then" You said as you turned on your heels,
"Thank you, Ms. Bitch" you said in that fake cheery tone of your's, already making way to Room 321.  

"It's Hitch thank you very much!" she spat at you, you looked over your shoulder and gave her an innocent,
"My mistake~." you cooed before leaving her line of sight, rather proud of the comeback once you saw two nurses snickering at your statement.
